Custom Framing
Tim exclusively uses ethically sourced and recycled native New Zealand timbers for his frames. Beyond the usual suspects such as Rimu, Tōtara, Mātai and Kauri, there is a diverse range of species which hold the qualities to make beautiful bespoke timber frames. Unlike many imported and veneer coated mouldings flooding the market, Tim machines all of his mouldings from scratch, resulting in a high quality product with aesthetical qualities only found with natural timbers.
Acid free internal materials and UV99 conservation art glass is standard with all of Tim’s frames, ensuring your artworks stand the test of time.
Each frame is made to order at Tim’s studio on the Kāpiti Coast. Frames are machines from raw timber, using traditional joining techniques and are finished by hand. Frames can be tailored to meet your needs and expectations to fit your artwork and the aesthetics of your destined display area
